Headshot of Bernadette Chi

Bernadette Chi (independent contractor) has over 20 years of experience in research and evaluation of educational and community-based programs, including well-regarded multiyear evaluations of NSF-funded studies across directorates. She draws on her ten years of experience in The Research Group at the Lawrence Hall of Science, including prior NSF-funded studies of STEM education programs designed to encourage under-represented students to attain higher degrees. She will closely collaborate with the project leadership team to coordinate data collection and analyses to minimize the data burden on high school students, undergraduate near-peer role model mentors, and staff. Dr. Chi is also the evaluator for the UCSC IUSE-Geopthahs GEODES program and was the evaluator for HSSI and YO as well hence she has experience with similar programs.
